  1. What Operating Systems does Plug and Browse support?
    Plug and Browse supports Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 2003.
  2. Can Plug and Browse set the Duplex mode of a network card?
    The Duplex mode is manufacturer specific. There is no standard way of setting it. However, this setting is typically stored in the registry. Since Plug and Browse can associate specific registry entries with a location, you should be able to modify the duplex mode by specifying the appropriate registry entries in the profile.
  3. Does Plug and Browse support Windows XP SP2 Firewall?
    Plug and Browse can configure any Windows XP SP2 Firewall setting. Plug and Browse is the only network switching utility that provides full and complete support for Windows XP SP2 Firewall.
  4. Does Plug and Browse use the Microsoft .NET Framework?
    Yes, Plug and Browse uses the .NET Framework. The .NET Framework is a development and execution environment that allows different programming languages and libraries to work together seamlessly to create Windows-based applications that are easier to build, manage, deploy, and integrate with other networked systems.
  5. The setup failed to install the Microsoft .NET Framework. What do I do?
    Under some circumstances, the setup mail fail to install the .NET Framework. In this case, try to install the .NET Framework directly from Microsoft's web site at: Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1

    Once the .NET Framework is installed, try to install Plug and Browse.

  6. I upgraded to the latest version of Plug and Browse and now I get an error saying "The expiry date is invalid".
    If you get any error when upgrading to the latest version, try the following:
    • Uninstall Plug and Browse from the Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Note that the uninstall does not delete the profiles you created.
    • Download and install Plug and Browse from here.
    • In the License screen, enter your license key that starts with an 'A'.
